Dave Magarity Missy Traversi

Magarity announced his intentions to retire following the 2020-21 season on January 29th. 

Under his direction the team earned four postseason berths with a pair of NCAA Tournament and WNIT appearances.

Melissa McFerrin Katrina Merriweather

McFerrin, who was in her 13th season, retired in early February.  She had won the third-most games in Memphis history with a record of 193-199, including 243-269 in her 17-year career as a head coach. The Tigers made four-straight tournament appearances from 2010-13. Memphis is 4-10 overall and 2-7 in the American Athletic Conference this season.


 

In 2019, the University of Memphis agreed to a contract extension with women's basketball coach Melissa McFerrin at least two days after notifying her there would be an outside investigation into allegations of abuse and harassment within the program.

Mallory Bernhard Mallory Bernhard

Bernhard  is currently serving as interim head coach for the 2020-21 season.  UND, under the direction of interim head coach Mallory Bernhard, is 2-15 this season. The job posting closes March 1. 

 

Bernhard (Youngblut) is a former standout UND player has been with the program as an assistant coach since 2013-14 season.

Bella Koclanes Adrienne Shibles Koclanes announced her departure to become president of a nonprofit organization. 

She leaves her position with a record of 77-117 overall and 34-64 in the Ivy League.
 
Niecee Nelson Maria Marchesano

In five seasons, Nelson coached the Mastodons to an overall record of 22-116 and 8-74 in league play.
 

She has been accused of abuse by players and staff. 

Terri Williams-Flournoy Johnnie Harris In nine years, Williams-Flournoy compiled a 140-138 record including a 48-96 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Williams-Flournoy led Auburn to NCAA Tournament appearances three times in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
Travis Mays Toyelle Wilson

Athletic Director Rick Hart decided not to renew Coach Mays' contract.  Coach Mays has a five-year record of 58-80.

David Midlick Brittney Young Austin Peay State University’s athletics department will not renew the contract of head women’s basketball coach David Midlick, Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison announced Monday.

Midlick led the Governors to an 85-88 record in his six seasons as head coach, including a 54-50 record in Ohio Valley Conference play. Austin Peay appeared in six consecutive OVC women’s basketball tournament during his tenure – one shy of the program record for an APSU head coach – but the Governors did not advance past their first game in any of those appearances.
Brittney Ezell Simon Harris The university announced Monday that Brittney Ezell would not return for a ninth season. Ezell posted a 105-132 record over eight seasons at ETSU.
Wisconsin was eliminated from the Big Ten tournament on Tuesday and finished the 2020-21 season with a 5-19 overall record and a 2-18 mark in Big Ten regular-season play. Jonathan Tsipis Marisa Moseley Wisconsin was eliminated from the Big Ten tournament on Tuesday and finished the 2020-21 season with a 5-19 overall record and a 2-18 mark in Big Ten regular-season play.
Jody Craig Ginny Boggess Coach Craig resigned on 3/10/2021. She registered a record of 33-69, including 23-46 in MAAC play.
Nyla Milleson Vanessa Blair- Lewis Milleson resigns to take an AD position at Hollister. 
Jody Wynn Tina Langley Huskies finished the season 7-14, including 11th in the Pac-12 at 3-13.

Wynn posted a 38-75 record — 11-58 in the Pac-12 — at UW and the Huskies never finished above .500 in the win-loss column or higher than ninth in the conference standings.
Jennifer Rizzotti Caroline McCombs

Rizzotti went 72-74 as GW's coach since being hired in April 2016.


GW went 9-14 this season.
 

Vicki Hall Chad Killinger Vicki Hall was the eighth women’s head basketball coach at ISU.  She was the state’s 1988 Miss Basketball honoree, a three-time All-Southwest Conference player and a world champion with the U.S. National Team before beginning her coaching career in Israel, followed by coaching positions at Miami of Ohio, New Mexico, and Toledo.   
Matt Ruffing Robyn Scherr-Wells The Aces finished the season 6-18 and 2-16 in conference play this season. 
Kristen Holt Karen Aston UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Lisa Campos on Tuesday announced that the school will not renew the contract of head women’s basketball coach Kristen Holt.
Sherri Coale Jennie Baranczyk Sherri Coale retires after 25 seasons. After 25 seasons she announced her retirement. During her tenure, she earned more than 500 wins, went to three Final Fours, nine Sweet 16s, and ten conference championships.
Kacie Cryer Lynn Kennedy Cryer spent 12 seasons on the Cowgirls' staff, the last five as head coach, and compiled a 44-97 record as head coach with a 29-59 mark in Southland Conference play. Her best season was her first as head coach in the 2016-17 season where her team posted a 14-17 overall record and 8-10 mark in league play, finishing sixth in the conference standings. 
Ali Jaques Jim Jabir Jaques amassed a 116-148 (.439) overall record including a 75-90 (.455) ledger in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference spanning nine seasons as the head coach of the Siena Women's Basketball program (2012-21). The Saints advanced as far as the MAAC Semifinals on three occasions under Jaques (2013, 2015, 2018), and she developed three First Team All-MAAC selections, two MAAC Defensive Players of the Year, and one MAAC Rookie of the Year during her tenure.
Wendy Schuller Joddie Gleason After a third consecutive losing season and the recent exodus of several key players, EWU elected to make a change.

Schuller posted an overall record of 277-322 and went 166-169 in Big Sky Conference play. She had one year remaining on her contract.
Katrina Merriweather Kari Hoffman

Resigned from Wright State to take the position at Memphis. 

 

She led Wright State to the program's first NCAA Tournament win this season and the only three Horizon League Championships in school history

Joe Logan Joe Logan Logan recently completed his 16th year as the Greyhounds head coach.
Agnus Berenato Octavia Blue Retired.
During a career that has featured stops at Rider, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Kennesaw State, Berenato has accumulated 483 victories
Kelly Cole Bridgette Mitchell Finishes her Northeastern coaching career with a record of 87-116 over seven seasons.
Paula Buscher Samantha Quigley Smith Paula Buscher led SIUE to six appearances in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and one national postseason appearance, the Women’s Basketball Invitational in 2018.
Bunky Harkleroad Mark Campbell The Hornets completed the 2020-21 season with a 3-22 overall record, including a 2-18 finish in Big Sky Conference games. Harkleroad spent eight seasons as the women’s basketball head coach and compiled an 88-151 overall record.
Stephanie White Shea Ralph White compiled an overall record of 46-83 while at Vanderbilt, including a 13-54 mark in the SEC. 
Caroline McCombs Ashley Langford She takes over at George Washington. 
Dave Caputo E.C. Hill Caputo went 22-51 (.301) during his three seasons as the Lady Hornets head coach.
Jim Jabir Jennifer Sullivan FAU finished (8-8) this season in conference play. 
Vanessa Blair- Lewis Janelle Crayton Blair-Lewis is leaving BCU to head to take over as head coach at George Mason University.

 

Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale retires after 25 seasons.
