HUDSON, N.C.- While most spring breakers are heading to sunny Florida for their week off of school, the Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers headed the other way to North Carolina to play two games in two days in the Tar Heel State.  In their first game of the trip, the Bucs took care of business, getting 16 points from A'Moni Waiters and a double-double from Tyshonne Tollie as they rolled past the Caldwell Tech Cobras 94-59 to improve to 9-4 on the year.  

The Cobras came out swinging on their home floor, jumping out to a 10-6 lead just 2:15 into the contest.  FSW scored the next eight though to take their first lead of the game and pushed their advantage to seven at the end of one quarter at 22-15. 

FSW held Caldwell without a point for the first five minutes of the second quarter and got baskets from five different players to open up their lead to 32-15.  They continued to lead big later in the quarter when seven straight points from Sheslanie Laureano gave the Bucs a 43-24 advantage into the locker rooms at half. 

An offensive rebound from Patience Williams and second chance bucket from Ronaltha Marc early in the second half built the Bucs lead to 23 and they continued to pour it on as Geovana Rios found Sariana Rodriguez on the break late in the third to push the lead to 69-41 after three quarters of action. 

The Bucs emptied their bench in the fourth, but the points kept on piling up on the scoreboard as a jumper from A'Moni Waiters gave them their first 30 point lead of the game and a layup from Kyriaki Taylor gave them their largest lead of the game at 92-57 with under a minute to go in the contest.  At the final horn it was all Bucs as FSW painted it Purple with a 94-59 victory for their ninth win of the year.  

The Bucs shot just under 50% as a team in the game, getting 16 points apiece from Waiters and Laureano in the win. Tyshonne Tollie posted her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucs while Rios notched a career high 11 assists with just 1 turnover from her point guard spot. 

FSW improves to 9-4 on the year with the win while Caldwell Tech drops to 7-10.  

The Bucs will remain in North Carolina on Wednesday as they take on Warren Wilson College in a 6 PM tip from Swannanoa.
