PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Chanaya Pinto put on a career performance as the top-ranked Northwest Florida State women’s basketball team downed Gulf Coast, 80-65, on Tuesday in Panhandle Conference play.

Pinto was 12-of-16 from the field to finish with a career-best 28 points. She also tallied eight rebounds and two assists.

The Raiders (9-0, 5-0 PC) shot 58.8 percent from the field as a team, the best mark of the season.

Last-Tear Poa made her season debut and did not disappoint scoring 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting and added seven rebounds. Masengo Mutanda added scored 14 points as well.

With the win, Northwest Florida extended its winning streak to 18 games.

The Raiders travel to take on Tallahassee on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
