Florida Gators Ink Four on National Signing Day

University of Florida women's basketball head coach Cam Newbauer announced today the signing of Alberte Rimdal (Køge, Denmark), Jeriah Warren (Lake Charles, La.) and twins Taliyah Wyche (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Tatyana Wyche (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) to the Gators' 2021 recruiting class.

Rimdal, the program's first-ever signee from Denmark, is an accomplished scorer with robust experience competing for her home country on the national stage. Ranked No. 21 in the World Exposure Report International Player Rankings, Rimdal is a 5-foot-9 guard with a crafty offensive package and a pure jump shot.

Rimdal has played in over 50 games on a national level, and will represent the Danish women's national team in the upcoming 2020 European Qualifiers. Rimdal averaged 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the 2019 U18 European Championship. In 2018 at the FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Rimdal put together a break-out performance, compiling averages of 18.1 points per game, 3.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

6-foot guard, Jerriah Warren, considered to be one of Louisiana's top talents, was named All-State First Team and the Most Outstanding Player of the Class 4A State Tournament this past season. Behind the strong play of Warren, who averaged 16.7 points per game, the LaGrange Gators won 32 games and hoisted their first-ever Class 4A State Championship. Stuffing the stat sheet with 8.3 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 3.5 assists per game, Warren garnered District 4A Player of the Year honors and led the Gators to a victory over two-time defending champion Warren Easton in the Louisiana state title game. She is ranked No. 232 overall in the World Exposure Report player rankings.

Taliyah Wyche, is a physically-gifted foward with a great motor. She averaged a double-double as a junior and in the 2020 Class 5A title game against Pensacola Pine Forest, exploded for 31 points and 11 rebounds. Taliyah is No. 192 ranked prospect in the World Exposure Report player rankings.
