Hokies’ ACC slate announced Wednesday

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech’s conference contests for the upcoming 2020-21 women’s basketball season were announced Wednesday morning live on the ACC Network’s Packer and Durham. The Hokies’ initial league contest will be Thursday December 10 at home vs. Pitt.  

In addition to the home and home with Tech’s pod partners, the Hokies will also face Pitt and Notre Dame twice.

The ACC Tipoff  will air live Wednesday evening on ACC Network and the program will feature Coach Brooks from 6-6:25 p.m. and senior guard Aisha Sheppard from 6:30-6:50. Sheppard was announced as a Preseason All-Conference performer Tuesday along with teammate Elizabeth Kitley.

Virginia Tech was picked to finish seventh out of 15 teams in the league's preseason poll on Tuesday. It was Tech's highest finish in that poll since the Hokies were picked seventh out of 12 teams in 2005.

The Hokies tied for fourth place in the ACC with an 11-7 league mark last season, finishing with a winning ACC record for the first time.
