Illinois running back Ra’Von Bonner, who opted out of playing this season because of concerns about COVID-19, is entering the transfer portal.

Bonner didn’t have a guarantee he would be on the football team next season as a graduate student.

Bonner is currently working on his second master's degree at Illinois while taking class from home in Cincinnati. 

He is looking to be a feature running back next year.
