Georgia basketball player was recently arrested on multiple charges, including reckless driving.

Grad transfer Justin Kier was arrested in the early morning hours of Oct. 9. Gwinnett County Sherriff’s records show that Kier was also charged with aggressive driving, improper/erratic lane change and speeding.

The police observed Kier driving 93 miles per hour on State Route 316 in a 55 miles per hour zone, according to the Gwinnett Post. Kier was booked into jail at 2:20 a.m. and released on a $450 bond at 9 a.m.

The Post obtained a police report saying Kier was one of four UGA basketball players in the Black SUV that was pulled over. The report did not identify the others, but mentioned they said they were not Georgia residents.

Pulling over Kier led to other observations by the officers:

Police described "a small odor of marijuana emitting from the car, that also included a female passenger."

“All occupants of the vehicle advised they had been smoking marijuana in the vehicle at that time,” the report said.

Kier, a former George Mason Patriot, was recruited to help the Bulldogs make an impact at the 3-point line . While he only played 9 games this season for the Patriots, Kier's 45.8% from deep is still an impressive percentage. From a career stand point, Kier has shot above 35% from three point land in 3 of his 4 collegiate seasons.
