Kansas State Adds Central Arizona Standout Pippin to the 2020-21 Roster

Kansas State women's basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has added guard/forward Makayla Pippin to the 2020-21 roster. Pippin joins the Wildcats from Central Arizona College and will have two seasons of eligibility with the Wildcats.

Pippin was recently named (NJCAA) Women's Basketball Third-Team All-American and World Exposure Honorable Mention All-American. She was the 12th ranked junior college player in the nation by World Exposure Report in the 2019-20 season.

This season, she helped the Vaqueras to a 28-3 overall record, the ACCAC title and a bid into the 2019-20 NJCAA National Tournament. Pippin averaged 18.7 points (580 points) on a .421 field goal percentage including a .335 three-point field goal percentage.

In her two seasons with Central Arizona College, Pippin saw action in 58 games with 54 starts. She registered 16.8 points per game (977 points), 8.9 rebounds per game (515 rebounds), 2.9 assists per game (166 assists), 1.7 steals per game (100 steals) and 0.6 blocks per game (32 blocks). She had 21 games with 20 or more points including a high of 34 points against Tohono O'odham Community College on December 7, 2019.

Pippin will be joining the Wildcat program that was tied for fourth in the Big 12 (16-13, 10-18 Big 12).
