We are looking forward to the NJCAA National Tournament that starts next week.  World Exposure staff will be attending this year's National Tournament which will take place in Lubbock, Texas on March 18-23rd.  Be sure to visit NJCAA Tourney daily for highlights, interviews, stories, and more.

Curtessia "NuNu" Dean 5-10 SO G from Monroe, Louisiana

She has surpassed 1,200 career points during regional tournament in 86-63 win vs. Tyler in semifinals. She has been named 1st team all-conference and all-region and was the regional tournament MVP. In addition, she was a third-team All-American as a freshman, averaging 17.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and hitting 65 3-pointers. 

Curtessia "NUNU" Dean has earned the respect of our opponents because she can simply put the ball in the basket. Nunu has a gift and is one of the most effect players, Coach Ivy has seen at the Juco level. The competitor in her has put her in beast mode because she wants to be playing that final game in Lubbock this year. She has offers at every level but is focused on the task at hand right now which is winning another National title for TVCC. Dean has been a major key to TVCC success this season but her best has yet to come. 


South Plains 

Asia McCoy 5-10 So F from Lawrenceville, GA
She is currently averaging 8.1ppg and 4.1 rpg
12th in the nation for FG% at 60.4%

Asia is a natural scorer. She can create for herself and for others. She has the capability to put up big numbers. 


Northwest Florida

Reneasha "Peanut" Payton 5-4 So G from Fort Walton Beach, FL

2020 Region VIII All-Tournament Team
Averaging 10 ppg, 4 rpg, 2 APG, 36% 3pt and 86% FT
14 double-digit scoring performances and started 26 of 28 games

Undersized scoring guard who makes up for her lack of size with energy and athleticism. Shoots the three-ball from deep range, very good one-dribble pul-up. Pesky on defense, keeps her hands and feet active. Vocal on both ends, provides on-court leadership and big game experience. 


Shelton State 

Cierria Cunningham 5-7 So G from Tuscaloosa, AL
She is currently averaging 9.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 4.1 apg

2020 Region 22 All-Tournament Team

Cierria has started all 31 games for the 29-2 Lady Buccaneers of Shelton State CC. She has been a solid player all year with her open court spped and her ability to elevate when attacking the basket. She had a mid-season slump from behind the arc, but has since regained some of the confidence in her shooting. Her overall game has elevated since mid-season. 


Gulf Coast

Laila Grant 5-8 G Fr. Qualifier

She will not be playing because of injury, but she is being heavily recruited and will be visiting schools after the National Tournament. 
 


Central Arizona

Makayla Pippen 6-1 So G from Indianapolis, IN
She is currently averaging 18.7 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.6 apg, 42% FG, and 33.5% 3pt

Makayla is a versatile 3-4 player. She can play inside at the 4 spot or outside at the 3. Her 3 point shot has improved throughout the year to keep the defense honest. She can attack off the dribble and defend multiple positions. 


Western Nebraska 
Tishara Morehouse 5-3 So G from Milwaukee, WI
Currently averaging 21ppg, 5.4 rebs, 4.1 ast
9th in the nation for points per game
11th in the nation for total points
Player of the Year IX South
2nd All-Time in scoring (1130) and assists at WNCC

Tishara is consider the best available point guard in Junior College. Opposing teams have a hard time containing Tishara in the open floor. She has the ability score on all three levels and get her teammates opportunities to be successful. She is a an elite on ball defender with quick hands. 



Jones College

Chyna Allen 5-7 So G from Gulfport, MS
Currently averaging 9.3 ppg and 3.8 ast. 

Chyna is a Division 1 caliber player that is a high academic student that wants to pursue computer science. Jones utilizes her a their best on- ball defender and she draws the assignment of guarding the quickest guards in Juco night in and night out. She is able to consistently knock down an open catch and shoot 3. Chyna is fast and can get downhill to the rim with ease. 
 

Wabash Valley

Keya Patton 5-7 SO G from Indianapolis, IN

Currently averaging 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals 
#5 in country in points scored
#3 in assists
#6 in assist-to-turnover ratio
Region 24 and GRAC Conference Player of the Year
NJCAA 3rd team All- American as a Freshman

She is a major key to Wabash Valley  success and is the heart of our team. Literally does everything on the floor from scoring, to finding her teammates, rebounding and playing defense. Is a complete player. True competitor. Clutch and will put the team on her back to win. Currently receiving BCS offers. 

 


Hutchinson

Makayla Vannett 5-6 So G from St. Paul, MN
She is Currently averaging 13.2 ppg, 39.7% 3pt%, and 3.2 rebs

Makayla is a sharpshooter that is tied for sixth-most 3-pointers in Blue Dragon single-season history going 94 of 241 shots. She ranks third on the Blue Dragon career list with 188 career 3 pointers. In addition, she in the Top 20 in scoring with 807 points. 
 


South Georgia Tech

Anna McKendree 5-6 So G from Flowery Branch, GA
Currently is averaging 13.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.2 apg and shooting 42.4 from 3pt range. 
7th in nation in assists to turnover ratio
35th in nation in steals
13th in 3pt %

Anna McKnedree is one of the best 3 point shooters in Junior College. She has had 7 games where she shot more than 10 3's in a game and made over half of them. If teams leave her open it will be long night for them. 


Florida Southwestern

Za'Nautica Downs 5-8 So G from Moultrie, GA
She is currently averaging 18.7 PPG, 4.6 rpg, 2.1 spg, 37% 3pt%, and 84% FT

Scored in double figures in 24 of 31 games this season including 15 straight heading into the National Tournament. Scored 30+ fives times this season including a school record 41 against Hillsborough. 

Ultra athletic guard, who contributes on both ends of the floor. Streaky score that put points up in bunches at all three levels. Unlimited range and will let it fly. Good defender and unselfish on the defensive end and leads the team in charges. 


Odessa

Geovana Lopes 6-3 So Post from Bataguassu, Brazil
She's currently averaging 7.3 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 1.1 APG, 1.1 Blks/G

Athletic, strong body post player that can play with back to the basket or facing the basket. Long, active player with excellent instincts on both offense and defense. Very solid rebounder and rim protector with excellent feet offensively. Great teammate and vocal leader on and off the floor. Incredible upside, best basketball is ahead of her. 


Casper

Mya Jones 5-11 RS-So F from Rapid City, SD

She is currently averaging 10.1 ppg, 6 rpg, 1.3 apg
17 double-digit scoring performances

Had a shoulder injury last season and has started every game this year for Casper. She is long/athletic and can play multiple positions. She is able to shot from 15-17ft. and with her back toward the basket.  She is physical and good rebounder.

 


Butler

RaVon Nero 5-9 S G from Edmond, OK
Currently averaging 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds
Region 6 KJCCC All-Conference

RaVon is a sophomore transfer, she has been a steady backcourt presence for our team and a big game scorer. Nero leads the Grizzlies in minutes played per game averaging 28.2 min.. She finished second in the KJCCC in free-throws made at 129=162, 79%. Nero was fifth in the KJCCC in total points scored at 482 and was ninth in steals with 63 on the year. She is a very versatile player with the ability to bring the ball up the floor and score in all facets of the game. She is a clutch player who scores in big time moments and has a will to win. 


Moberly Area

Mobile forward who can face up and attack basket or shot it out to the 15ft area. Good offensive rebounder and defender. High motor player and an incredible teammate and person. 



Seward County

Lead team in scoring and rebounding
Played with Polish National team this summer

She currently holds Big Ten, Pac 12 offers, and SEC interest.



Tyler 

Felmas Koranga 6-1 Sophomore Forward from Kenya
Currently averaging 19 ppg, 13 rbg, 3 blks
No. 1 in Region 14 in scoring and rebounding

Felmas has a motor that never stops. She is a key to Tyler on both ends of the floor. She has the ability to guard 2-5 on defense. Very athletic that gets up and down the floor extremely well. Rebounds out of her area with the best of them. Very good face up and back to basket game and can score in a variety of ways.


Salt Lake

Ashley Scoggin 5-7 RS. Fr G from Portland, OR
She's currently averaging 10 ppg, 4 rpg, 2.3 apg, 95.5% FT, and 37% 3pt%

SG, pure shooter with deep range. Nice mid-range, pull up, and 3pt Shooter. High IQ to compensate for lack of speed; great off ball defender. Competitor and heartl seconding leading rebounder just by pursuing the ball. 


Chattanooga State

Melisa Carter 5-8 F Freshman Germantown, TN
She is currently averaging 17.7 ppg and 9.9 rpg
2020 All-Conference 1st Team

Melisa is a proven winner! She has the ability to score, rebound and make an impact on both ends of the floor . Four year coaches should not sleep on her. 


New Mexico

Dawnyel Lair 5-8 So G from Los Angeles, CA
She is currently averaging 12 ppg, 7.6 rpg, and shooting 52.8% from the field. 
17 double digit scoring games
WJCAC 1st team All-Conference
WJCAC Newcomer of the Year 2020

Lair is a Division 1 transfer that is a good sized guard and extremely athletic, can jump out of the gym and can really get to the rim and finish against contact. 


North Dakota SCS

Kate Carlson 6-1 Sophomore C from Madison, WI
Currently averaging 13ppg, 8 rpg, 1 apg, 77% FT
Mon-Dak Conference 1st Team

Kate is a strong, physical post with ability to step out and hit the 17ft jumer. Uses her body to get position for rebounding and undertands how to play physical. Kate has a high motor and does a great job leading on and off the court. She has soft hands and is a  good finisher around the rim. She has a 3.77 GPA and will graduate in May. Currently getting low D1 and D2 recruitment. 


Murray State

Randaysha Hansen 5-6 Sophomore Guard from Tyler, Texas
Currently averaging 10.5 points, 3.5 rebs, 2.5 assists, 1.2 stls
Region 2 All-Conference

Randaysha is a key contributor for Murray State program. She knows how to get downhill and get their offense started. She is a multidimensional player who is strong with the ball and has the ability to crate for her teammates and hit big shots down the stretch. Currently getting Division 2 interest and will be fun to watch in the National Tournament.  In HS, she was District 15-3A MVP as a senior after averaging 22 points per game... added eight rebounds per contest as well as 5.5 steals per game and 4.8 assists on the year.


Monroe

Devon Adams 6-3 Sophomore C from Media, PA
Currently averaging 9 ppg, 8 rbg, and shooting 30% from 3pt.
Region 15 All-Region Team Performer

Devon "Big Dev" Adams has always had a Big Presence on the court with her productive post play. While Devon has been with the Lady Mustangs, she's been a great focal point as an offensive catalyst to help the program win games. But Devon's impact goes beyond the court. Her ability to transition from a freshman player being helped by the sophomores to fit win within the new environment to now being a sophomore leader providing the same teachings that were passed down to her has been truly impactful towards her growth and maturity as a person. On the court, Devon has a great impact with helping Monroe have success at the Division 1 Junior College level.
