Here are the Top 12 Players:

ASGR Select Individual Showcase Hosted by Bryan Williams and Westchester Community College

The event was led by Head Trainer Doug Elwell, a former Wagner College player who currently runs Ewell Academy. Ewell was blessed to have people around him early on his life who really understood how to teach kids about playing: those skills they need to develop so that they can move on to the next level and not just X’s and O’s to win a few games. Because of this he understands the importance of teaching kids about playing the game and player development. The drills he ran were college like and all had a purpose and meaning. That being said, he was one of the better trainers we have seen at these events. I encourage anyone in the area or surrounding States to attend this event and other events hosted by Bryan Williams. His events will not only help the participants get better but also get exposure.

Here are the Top 12 Players:

2021 Imani Harris @Imain_theanswer 5’5 PG MSGR Scanlon @MsgrScanlanHS. Imani has an ability to get the basket and create for herself and others. Quick first step. Shot well off the dribble. Tough Kid. True NYC point guard.

2023 Nicole Melious @nicolemelious10 5’8” guard Susan Wagner. HS Nicole is physically in a great shape. Lean and strong. Improved handles and has NBA 3pt range. She made 5 3’s in a row at one point. She gets to the basket and finished in traffic or was able to find an open teammate.

2020  Ami Sangore 6’1” Forward. Unsigned.  Ami is strong, tenacious, rebounder, with a soft touch around the basket. She has a high basketball IQ and I think she has a big upside. She showed she can run the floor as well.

2022 Alana Bennett 5’10” Mount Vernon. She is super aggressive on both ends of the court. Very Athletic and tends to make things happen. Huge potential and absolutely loved her energy.

2020 Amber Abusbeih @AbusbeihAmber 5’6” Moore Catholic. Point Guard. Amber is a pure pg that plays unselfish.  She can create for herself but she is a pass 1st pg. She showed the ability to be coachable and participated in all the drills and games with high intensity.

2021 Riley Jones- Rottkamp @ririjones14 5’9” shooting guard.  Absolutely loved watching her play. She is tenacious on defense and on offense she is always looking for the open man. Plays hard all the time. Nice 3pt jump shot.

2020 Janay Legagneur @JanayLegagneur 6’1” Valley Stream HS. Janay is a long player, great hands, can finish in traffic, and does a great job of seeing the floor. Hard Worker that plays with a high motor. She just made things happen.

2021 Madison Quattlander @madisonq2021 5’5” Guard Preston HS. Madison is a true point guard. Plays hard, shows leadership on and off the court. She does a great job of controlling the game and her team. Very Coachable. She showed a very good mid-range game. She showed the potential to be a lock down defender.

2020 Dior Gillian 5’7” Guard. She is extremely quick with the ball in hands. Plays both ends of the floor with a high energy. Can shoot off the catch or the bounce. Another natural leader.

2021 Julz Kost @ballinwithjulz 5’8” Guard. Kost can really shoot the ball. Nice form and if left open she will make teams pay for it. Unselfish player. She truly loves the game and plays it with a smile on her face.

2023 Dakota Daniello @DakotaDaniello 5’3” Masters School. Dakota is extremely tough for her size. She played games with a mask on her face. I believe she may have had a broken nose. Her jump shot was smooth and she plays with a lot of confidence and is able to finish over taller players. She has elite ball handling skills at a very young age.

2023 Victoria Ross Blumenauer 5’7” Guard Ursuline. Victoria plays with high energy, good jump shot, and really gets after it defensively. She really stood out in the drills section because of her energy. Nice upside.
